Gertrude the Cow
Moooo...
or should I say
MOOOO!
I drove through Rockford, Illinois, yesterday and tracked down this big bovine.

The giant cow looks over the children's farm at Lockwood Park. "Gertrude" the cow is fawn/brown with white spots and measures about 21 feet long and 19 feet high.

i have read a lot on this site and is not to bad, except the part about the watermelon .....
i live in Lincoln and i am here to tell you that yes it is very strange but over the years it has served many purposes not only to remind us that Mr. Lincoln was here and named us and practiced law at the old Post ville court house has a member of the circuit rider.
it is also a seat for those who are walking....
you may have wondered why there is such a big thing of cement for such a small watermelon wedge, the answer is that there is a time capsule in which has been in there since the monument was built ...
and will be opened in the year 3000.
so make fun as you wish. but remember one thing..
Lincoln really is a good town
